I remember back in circa 2000 when MySpace was the social network for bands and solo musicians, while Facebook was the social network for businesses. Then, Facebook also acquired the “bands and solo musicians” part of the market, leaving MySpace in ruins.
Now, Myspace is rising from the ashes with a new and clean user-interface, a renewed focus on the “bands and solo musicians” part of the social network market, and a lower case “s” in their name and logo. 😛 Check out the video:
Oh and if you have a profile, do check out our profile as well here. It’s not much at the moment, but it will definitely continue to grow. I now have to find people whom I know and follow artists I admire. Plus, I better start making and uploading music-oriented content.
Oh social networking! You’ve got a hold on my life!
So, what do you think? Can Myspace reclaim its glory? Or at least, a significant percent of the market?
