Back in 2008, I stepped inside the cinema for a movie that I thought I wouldn’t like. Or maybe I would like it, but it will never qualify to be one of my favorites. Fast-forward to 2011, almost three years after, and I’m giddy after watching its sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2. I never expected to relate closely to a fictional Panda character. Po is just so unique, very appealing, and heart-warmingly inspirational.
It’s been some time since the last “Pirates” movie. During that period, aficionados of this film series have been hoping and craving for Captain Jack Sparrow’s (Johnny Depp) return. And he did return, albeit, he’s alone with Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). No more Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swan (Keira Knightly) from the last three films.
Back then, I thought, “Can ‘Pirates’ 4 stand with Jack Sparrow alone?” It did. Somehow, there was something different, something missing.

What Recis Writes
It’s been a long time since I updated you. For this, I ask for your pardon. It’s been a rough time, even until now, which is reason enough for me to have abandoned you. Prioritization, as they say. Don’t be insulted; don’t feel bad. No matter what, you are my foremost weblog.
And with that, I hope you expect my return. Be still and wait for it.
