All the while, I thought that this would be an hour and a half sequel of the first movie. It turned out to be over an hour and ten minutes collection of three short stories of events that have taken place after Cinderella’s wedding. The first story is about Cinderella’s responsibility of taking over the organization of events that are to be celebrated within the castle, and her adjustment to the royal life. The second is about her mouse-friend, Jack, and his unfortunate experience as a human being, and realizing that being a mouse isn’t so bad after all. The last story is about Cinderella’s step-sister, Anastasia who falls in love with a baker and has to put up with her mother’s expectations all in the name of love and happiness.
This movie didn’t meet my expectations, but it still is a wonderful watch with modern music and up-to-date 2D animation, giving it a vibrant make-over of the timeless Disney characters.
